CHEESEGEEK'S

Story

Cheesegeek, founded in 2017 by Edward Hancock, is a British company dedicated to delivering artisan cheeses to consumers through a modern, subscription-based model. Transitioning from a career in finance, Hancock established Cheesegeek to make high-quality, specialty cheeses more accessible to a broader audience.

The company offers a variety of products, including monthly subscription boxes, one-off hampers, and a "pick-and-mix" selection, all featuring British artisan cheeses. To enhance the customer experience, Cheesegeek developed the Cheese Allocation System (CASSIE), an algorithm that personalises cheese selections based on individual preferences.

In January 2022, Cheesegeek secured investment on the television show Dragons' Den from entrepreneur Steven Bartlett, aiming to expand its market presence and support independent British cheesemakers.

In June 2024, Cheesegeek partnered with Sainsbury's to launch an exclusive range of six seasonally rotating British artisan cheeses in select stores, marking its first collaboration with a major supermarket.

With a commitment to quality, innovation, and supporting local producers, Cheesegeek continues to redefine the cheese retail experience in the UK.
